Last week I arrived home after a trip to Mount Blanc - the fifth highest mountain in Europe. There were fifteen people in our group, all friends from my old class 1C! First we spent three days walking in the valleys, and then we began the climb. It was very hard work. Our bags were heavy, and it got colder as we climbed higher up the mountain. After six hours, two of my friends became very tired. They didn't want to carry on, so they climbed back down to our camp. On the second day, while we were walking across some snow, one girl nearly fell off the side of the mountain - that was very scary! We didn't go right to the top of the mountain, but it was an amazing trip. Next spring I want to go there again and get further up the mountain - and ski back down!
